Yesterday I fixed a segfault in the aggregations, went to the team leads meeting and solidified plans to move to a three week release cycle, and to look into adding a level of indirection to the API that would let us more easily transition to query-time data transformations instead of storing multiple copies of the data in the database. Lunch, then went to the vis meeting, and the vis release meeting and discussed end of internship handoff. Met briefly with Engineering, moved data around in the database, rewrote the release guide for the three week schedule, pulled some more resumes for the statistical dev position, and scheduled interviews for devops and the UX manager. Dinner, crossword, more hemming and Lucifer, snack, sleep. I finished The Bastard Prince (one of those terrible serial “this will be an omnibus someday” endings) and started Metal Chest by Chris Yee, which is hilariously genre.
