Yesterday morning I did the token list deliveries for the surveys and resolved some conflicts with L’s changes to the automation code. After lunch there was a lab meeting; R is having everybody try a new thing this week with a more rigorous hierarchical structure and normalized task management system that I think will help everything stay more organized and less overwhelming. I had to leave early for the standup with F, which crashed my computer again, twice, so I’m calling in by phone with them for the foreseeable future. In the afternoon finished helping B get the sftp site up, then served an urgent request from R to make changes to the surveys to match what turned out to be a horribly mangled docx conversion of a Pages file... and after hours of work, it turned out he only wanted me to change the very top section of questions, so I rolled the rest of the edits back. So. That was a choice that he made. Finished that, but then F’s team started making changes to the survey too, including a new question and a new option in one of the questions, which are both things that have to be cleared with the IRB on our side (F really should have an IRB, but they do not), and it turns out nobody told R. So that was a whole thing that took another couple hours to resolve (They’re holding off on the changes in question until at least daytime eastern) and by then it was after 7. Dinner on my own while P taught his evening class, then crossword and sleep. Dreamt of survey data, so I’m clearly working too hard.
