Yesterday I slept in. P was feeling less than perfectly healthy, so when we went to the farmers market he wore a mask and did other errands in sqhill. I got us nectarines, apples, red peppers, pizzelle, and yellow beans, carrots, potatoes, and a sesame cookie for me. P spent the rest of the day sleeping, which was good, and building a bit of a fever, which was worrisome. I did the laundry and hung it out on the line, finished the eyelets in the scallop sample, and watched The Princess and the Frog. Loved the zydeco and Cajun French, and the contrast of using a (charged, feared) tool to help vs to harm. I finished Surrender None, which was over all at once though it’s clear she tried to stretch it out. A bit deus ex machina. There is no magic in the real world to defeat the fear and hate of prejudice. A library hold came in so I started that: Senlin Ascends, by Josiah Bancroft. It’s a little young? We’ll see how it goes.

I took the laundry in while dinner simmered, then crossword with P the convalescent, Elementary, snack, and sleep.

P is much better this morning, crossing fingers for a temporary bug.
