Cold enough to add blankets

Yesterday I sewed the other armhole binding on the black top. Just buttons and buttonholes left! We went to the farmers market and got nectarines, peaches, false hots, red peppers, eggplant, potatoes, hatch chiles(!), basil, king oyster mushrooms, a sourdough sesame buckwheat cookie (that turned out to be ginger molasses, super good), beans, onion, and garlic. Home, got the laundry started, lunch, roasted the eggplant and the chiles, crossword, snack, hung the laundry out in the line. P attempted to mow the lawn but the mower wouldn’t have it. We may be in the market for a new mower. I got stuck in a rabbit hole of Arabic calligraphy. I want to know the letterforms more closely to help with phonetics. Dinner, brought in the laundry, then I started watching Elementary. Word on the street is Watson is amazing and Sherlock is less of an asshole, and so far I agree. Snack, sleep. I had some lingering food trouble through breakfast and lunch but the cookie magically fixed it.

G update: blood pressure is still wonky; last news was they could get him up to 60 degrees from horizontal before it hits the floor. Saturday they figured out he’s got pneumonia, but he seems to be doing much better with treatment. M is maybe heading up next weekend? but classes start this week so P can’t really get away if he wants to retain some semblance of with-it-ness.
