Yesterday I built some prototypes of reversible slash pockets. The tricky
bit is the connection to the neighboring skirt panels; I tried two ways
that didn’t work on a fabric version before switching to paper. By
increasing the seam allowance on the pocket bag and stopping several seams
carefully short I found a way that will let me do most of it on the
machine, with just a little cleanup by hand around the facings.
The internet suggests that voile is not actually that great for petticoats,
with organdy being a better choice. Hmm.
Dinner, crossword, and knitting with She-Ra, which I finished. I started on
The Dragon Prince but we’ll see if it sticks.
