The crossword was a beast

Yesterday I spun more of the Romney-mohair blend, got most of a REST
interface for the phone built at work, showed P where the hornets nest (or
maybe native bees?) is, tried a new variety of lentil-based pasta with
great success, and re-did one of the Problem Flowers on Gerty’s embroidery
project. P installed a bucket trap on the hornets nest; we’ll see if they
fall for it.
I finished The Hidden Family (fabulous, recommend) and am a little upset
that the library carries none of the subsequent books. I picked up Luck In
The Shadows instead, but the author is terrible at integrating exposition
into the story — the style is more like casually explaining how a microwave
works to someone you’ve just met. Huh? Why? So we’ll see if I stick with it.
