Those are some fine-looking bagels, if I do say so. Used the smitten kitchen notes. Next time I should knead in more flour and either rise them less long or in a cooler place. Otherwise, they're perfect.
We also made cheese this weekend -- hot milk + unsweetened cranberry juice, 15 minutes, drain, hang 2 hours, mix with salt. Makes a deeply purple creamy chevre-y cheese with no discernable cranberry flavor (although P seems to think there is a bit, just at the end).
Paul used the whey in a leek&potato soup and HOLY CRAP that was a good idea. Devilishly creamy without using cream. Probably really good for you, too.
Also granola with chai spices.
Also made a duvet cover. I'm so crafty.
Also attempted yoghurt, but it didn't take. Dunno why.
Onion seeds planted. Hopefully they'll sprout OK.
