Yesterday I sewed all the side front and side back seams, decided on a Hong
Kong finish, and laid out a 22” square for cutting continuous bias strips
from the same lightweight chambray I’m using to line the bodice.

I embroidered a couple of rows of broccoli flowers in solid green. The
stemmed french knot method is working out great to provide the appearance
of perspective in the stems of the flowers while also giving more solid
coverage.

I completely spaced on a thesis proposal I meant to go see. My karmic
reward was the shuttle tracker going down just as I was headed for Scaife
to go home, then the shuttle either blew me off (in yellow school bus form)
or was late enough that I bailed to try and catch the 58, which I watched
roll past while waiting for the crosswalk.

Food has been tricky. I’m being pretty good about stopping before I feel
ill, but then I wind up feeling ill ten minutes later anyway.

I have called into the doctor to see about modifying my meds during the
darker months, but there’s a new centralized call system where the clinic
has to call you back to do the actual scheduling. I just missed the
callback, which left a message with a number for me to call, but it was
already after 5 when *they* called so that number got forwarded to their
after hours answering service. I kinda want to punch Kafka in the face.
