More rain for fall crops
Aug. 25th, 2017 10:50 amYesterday I tried using a hammer and a different awl on the leather, and
that worked better but I think I prefer the smaller holes. I can't use the
hammer with that awl though so I'll have to see what else I can find. I
also tried using a piece of electrical tape to help align the holes better,
and that helped. I might try to cut a template in some card to make the
spacing more consistent too.
No return call from Gloria Horn (the place in the south hills that would be
most pleasant to get my machine repaired) so I called Thornton. I talked to
a very nice woman who answered all my questions, and we'll be heading over
there Saturday. The queue is about four weeks deep but that should be okay.
Evening bus never came, and the next one was fifteen minutes late. I'd
forgot about Pitt move-in, which on top of construction apparently made
Boulevard of the Allies a total parking lot. Once on the bus it wasn't too
bad, but I did end up eating pretty late.
