Thred Up is nice but needs more metadata
Jan. 27th, 2020 07:35 amYesterday I made another batch of nut and seed bars, sewed the side seams of P’s pj pants as French seams, made a couple of pockets, and started inserting them. I finished reading Rise of the Dragons (short; ended quite abruptly) and started Imager by L. E. Modesitt, which is... well. It can’t decide if it’s a character story about an artist son of a merchant family, an idea story about being able to manifest imagination into reality, or a milieu story about an alternate 16th-18th? century France (guilds are a Big Thing) with stronger Roman influences and where the abrahamic religions never happened. Each scene is densely treated, and the next scene skips ahead years at a time to help keep the story moving. Persians are vilified for some unknown reason. I normally don’t have the patience for writing like that, but I want to see what happens to the main character when he figures his stuff out. We’ll see.
P handled the laundry, and we made pastry for more currant bars during a break in the afternoon. Didn’t actually make the bars, but, baby steps. It’ll keep in the freezer indefinitely.
Dinner, crossword, Voyager, snack, sleep.
