Yesterday I met with D to show him around the covidcast database and get advice on how to rewrite it to make it possible to scale up by 20x, which is one of our goals for the next fifteen months. I went to the team leads meeting and presented the Engineering goals for the next two months, which dragged on an extra half hour past the nominal end of the meeting largely because it was the end of the day and I was too exhausted to cut short R’s questions. The rest of the day went to progress on the BIGINT retrospective.

Hilariously, right before my meetings were supposed to start, a transformer blew and we lost power. I managed both meetings on a wireless hotspot, and P was lovely and ran me up an extra charge battery to make sure my phone didn’t conk out. Power came back around halfway through team leads.

Dinner solo, Atlantis, crossword when P got out of class, snack, sleep. Dreamt of carefully and precisely wrapping an iron in satin.
