Twice about does it
May. 10th, 2020 07:01 amYesterday I manually validated the aggregations and delivered them. I fixed all the issues that were failing the first phase of auto validation, where the local files in git are checked against the API. There were a small number of county-day points that were removed from the aggregation data, but the ingestion system for the API has no way to detect removals, so the outdated values remained in the database. The second phase of validation failed because the number of regions reporting dropped too rapidly. Indeed, we saw a 60% reduction in survey responses on Friday, so I checked that with F. Score 1 for the validation system!
Otherwise a chill day. Sent a question to our IRB rep, ran some updated data for L, washed the towels and the shower curtain, started reassembling the White, watched a bunch of DS9. Rogue Protocol continues out of character, with the addition of some two-dimensional villains I hope will be better developed as we go on.
Lunch was good (finished off the stunningly good asparagus from the ETG), snack was good, dinner was good. Crossword was a slog; had a bunch of trouble with the NW corner. DS9, snack, sleep. Dreamt of traveling for a family reunion, spiteful vain neighbors, sourdough bread with puzzling properties, masks, gender affirmation, group sleeping, misread alarm clocks.
