Yesterday I implemented the new filters requested by F, encountered some questions, and double checked those. L had added the privacy filters to the state aggregation code, and I fixed some small things and merged the branch. In the afternoon there was a big dust-up as someone had done a “git push --force” on the main repository, or possibly resolved a conflict using rebase, either way it caused the server to get seriously confused and double up all commits. A managed to fix it, but it took like two hours. I learned how to use the RStudio debugger and fixed a nasty bug merging A’s direction calculating code that had a completely obfuscated error message with no obvious link to any line of code. I ate all my meals on time but had a late night; I took a break for dinner and crossword 6-8 then wound up working 8-10. Very unusual for me. Managed to do the laundry though, and take ample meal and snack breaks. It’s turning into a blessing that the results pipeline takes 6 minutes to run, since it creates spaces for getting up and stretching or finding a snack. Grandma called and we chatted a bit about being cooped up, sewing machines, crochet versus knitting, garden non-plans, and getting outside every once in a while. Good to hear her voice.
