Yesterday I collected feedback for some maintenance on one of W’s servers,
finished reading the Theo paper, did a lit search to find other projects
that use it (not many),
and finished the lecture notes from R. P stopped in to say hello before
class, since we have dovetailing schedules on Mondays. Then I went to a lab
meeting run by F to annotate a bunch of the if-then-because statements with
implied data, and I helped herd cats by explaining the design process
(“it’s a football, and we’re currently at the fat part”). F is working
toward writing a theorem prover! Very neat.

While making dinner I finished Not Your Sidekick, which wrapped up nicely.
It does have excellent trans representation, so if you can put up with a
book that maybe would rather be a screenplay, put it on your list. I
started reading The Singer’s Gun by Emily St John Mandel, which I
apparently checked out? It’s well enough written, but the reader is dry and
the characters are so far pretty wretched. Not really the escape I look for.
