Yesterday I sewed the waistline (1.5 times; I’d trimmed back the extended
seam allowance on the side without the zip on the skirt but forgot to do it
on the bodice), the zip, and the remaining side seams. I should put stay
tape at the waistline to protect the shaping in back, and then all that’s
left is attaching the lining and I have another jumper! After this is
another pair of leggings I think.
I finished the chrysanthemum with french knots filling the center, and
finished season 1 of the Good Place (for real this time; last time I
mistakenly identified a longer-than-usual bumper between episodes as a
series break).
Food-wise, the cheese squash was a bit stringy so I puréed some of it
(froze the rest; the thing was huge) and oh. my. It is the best soup
base/thickener. Not mushy like rice or noodles get in the fridge. Just
silky luxuriousness. A heaping spoonful in two servings’ worth of liquid,
so there’s still enough to sop up with cheese toast.
