Yesterday I drafted a dropped waist, princess seams, and slash pockets onto
my jumper pattern, and started cutting out the bodice lining. It’s almost
as if I’m getting better and faster with practice! :)

I unwrapped the soap but it was too soft to cut (or, too soft to peel away
from the knife without denting) so I’ll try again today. The alkanet faded
dramatically with the lye, but seems to be recovering a bit as it oxidizes.
I think it will end up about perfect.

I finished another round on the chrysanthemum and started the next.

I ran out of podcasts so picked out another book. I’m reading The
Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley, and it’s a little uneven
but fills the space okay.
