Yesterday I prepped some samples of another fleece club fiber, this one a
CVM. It turns out I much prefer big blocky staples to tiny curly ones, at
least for carding. This matches my experience with the 2016 mystery fleece.
I have some BFL dyed locks, which are very tiny curly and would make a good
test of the theory.

I finished a ball on the sweater body and picked up stitches for a sleeve.
I unfortunately didn't account for the half stitch offset, which is
invisible for stockinette but would be jarring in rib, so the ribbing on
the sleeves is just going to have to stop at the sleeve cap while the
ribbing on the body goes down to just below the bustline.

I'm watching a new series on Netflix, "Death in Paradise" set in Honore in
the Caribbean. It is entertaining, although the "mystically intelligent
white dude" trope is strong, and unfortunately overpowers the otherwise
great female lead, at least for now. I will be interested to see how her
character develops over the series.
