IFComp 2012! Brief reviews below the cut, possible (very mild) spoilers, read at your own risk, etc, etc. Worth going out of your way to play: So far, Sunday Afternoon and Living Will.
- The Test Is Now READY - A series of ethics problems. Disappointingly standard. Frank also appears to have some short-term memory loss. Poor Frank. Didn't finish.
- Sunday Afternoon - Though making the first puzzle "rknzvar rirelguvat va gur ebbz" is not necessarily the best way to get on my good side, this one was very nicely done! It would probably need fewer hints if some of the descriptions were fleshed out slightly more, but the story is quite good even so.
- Spiral - Triggery; I think not. Didn't get past the first page.
- Murphy's Law - I have to explicitly unlock things with keys, seriously? Augh. One step up from "this is my apartment" ... but not a big one.
- Fish - Buggy, but has a lot of potential. Spooky as fuck when the game logic is working.
- Guilded Youth - Cute, but completely on rails. Not really interactive. Also I had trouble increasing the font size? My eyes aren't that great, dude!
- Living Will - Compelling! Worth the iterative replay to fill in all the corners of the story.
- To be continued...
