Lots of people seem happy about it, and I'm not entirely sure why. I think ITA is probably a much better company to work for than Google would be. I guess we'll all get to find out :)
I'm happy about it, but I've wanted to work for Google since soon after I knew they existed. I expect the merger will result in some really cool projects, too.
Ahh. Whereas each of the last three times I was jobhunting, I considered Google but never actually applied because I didn't really want to work there. There was always some other place I'd rather spend my time submitting an application to and I never got around to Google.
On the "really cool projects" front, I expect things will remain good (we already do really coolprojects IMO, but so does Google).
I agree, or I wouldn't be working here. But I'm still excited about the new projects Google will have related to QPX specifically. Plus, maybe a bigger organization will be able to convince an airline to actually buy res.
