No quote yet from the other HVAC co

Yesterday I read and responded to R’s reaction to the detailed feedback; we’re both getting better at this kind of interaction and it feels pretty good. I was on the hook for news at the big group meeting, so I pulled a couple of stories for that. Also at that meeting I overviewed the plan for v1.7. Afterwards I met with A from Recruiting and she went over how to use Taleo, which was good because in the process we discovered my level of access wasn’t high enough for some of the tasks I need to be able to do. We were able to fix some of it on the call, and I submitted a help ticket for the stuff we couldn’t figure out. Spent the rest of the day screening resumes and building a big shared folder on Box to help sort them in. Met with Engineering and ran a very brief feedback session just to check in with folks, nobody had anything they needed us to change so it was more a discussion of what things we’re good at and should keep doing. I keep running out of things to do at 5 and then picking something out of the backlog that I don’t have the willpower to quit working on until 6:30; that has to stop. Yesterday was the revision to the detailed description of the release schedule, which uncovered even more of a trashfire than showed up in the grid revision from Thursday. I think we’re going to have to move to three weeks to give ourselves time to breathe.

Dinner, crossword (very weird grid but lots of easy crosses), sewing and Imposters (too many; that show is major popcorn), snack, sleep. Dreamt of shepherding weird machines through an elementary school, shuttle buses, magic spark showers, fun hair colors, parents night, old fashioned taxis.
