Copy paste is probably fine
Apr. 18th, 2020 06:32 amYesterday I integrated the zip filters, fixed a nasty problem with my local git repository about macs being case-insensitive file systems, then generated the new survey IDs and verified with F that they were now more-or-less correct. I narrowed down but did not fully identify or fix an issue with signups on the crowdcast site, implemented a couple quick fixes, updated the COVID case data, and deployed to production. I helped D identify inactive crowdcast users and turn off their reminder emails so we don’t exceed our monthly email quota with whatever service we’re using. I implemented weighted aggregation files for F, in our format but with a special extra column at their request, and delivered them.
I’m exhausted and it’s starting to express itself in a destructive antisocial direction that’s not great. I’m leaping at easy-to-complete tasks that aren’t on my list in order to avoid the tricky ones that are. I’m doing other people’s work without consulting them because it’s easier to just fold them into what I’m currently doing than stop to coordinate. I should probably... tell my supervisor that.
Worked until 8, then dinner, crossword, and sleep. Dreamt of cruise ship activities?
