The morning was a mystery
Jan. 10th, 2020 08:18 amYesterday was my first day back at work. I tracked down what happened to my desktop with IT (there was some kind of issue installing the OS that magically resolved itself as soon as I asked about it... I’m expected to have it back today), reviewed Trello to remember wtf I was doing before break, read some papers, and started tinkering with parser generators to see if there’s one I might be able to drop into our state machine to reduce its complexity a bit (a lot). The trick will be either finding one that doesn’t mind stopping in the middle of a block, or designing a grammar that can adequately parse partial blocks. At the end of the day I set up a place on the lab wiki where I can start keeping a daily log again.
Home, dinner, crossword (we called D to help her with the trick), Voyager, snack, sleep. Dreamt of visiting K, illusion malls, family reunion cookouts, road trips to DC, and electric keyboards that insisted on accompanying whatever you played.
