It was 67F in the meeting room
Oct. 30th, 2019 06:59 amYesterday I finished cutting out pattern pieces for the second chair seat, sewed and felled the bottom panel (which I’d pieced this time), interfaced the zipper lap with some spare canvas, basted the zipper panel seam, sewed the zipper to the seam allowances, cut apart the basting, pressed the fabric away from the teeth, and set up the zipper lap. I was up early for whatever reason.
At work I met with T and we nearly got his environment set up, but ran into a bug with Django 1.11 and python 3.7. I found a fix for it offline, and tested it out successfully, but it seems not to have quite worked on T’s machine. In the meantime, I finished fixing a problem with CustomFunction serialization, pushed to trunk, and deployed to the server. At our lab meeting, B gave a test run of his poster for EMNLP, and got some good feedback. Always do a test run! Tests are scary but orders of magnitude more efficient than planning harder instead.
P had the car on campus, and drove us home. I was freezing and pretty wiped from the meeting so I fear I was poor company. Such are Tuesdays. Dinner, crossword, Elementary, snack, sleep. Dreamt of our inherited cat from 16411, cleaning kitchens, going mall shopping in a sour mood, then of old planes and trains and fire hoses and murder.
