Yesterday I cut out and transferred markings on all the pattern pieces for the chair back, sewed the center back seam, and went two rounds on the basted seam where the zipper will go. I forgot that seam allowance needed to be larger to accommodate the zipper tape, but I think there’s plenty of overlap to make up the difference. My initial plan for zipper insertion was needlessly complicated— just basting the seam as if there is no lap, then pressing the lap in place works fine.

I finished Liars Oath, though alas my library doesn’t have any other Paksenarrion books on audio.

At work I had lunch with C and talked about overcrowding at Colfax. Then I drew out two approaches to the state updates for each triple in a SPARQL query, and implemented the straightforward one. It works, so next is importing the query results into a SEMPRE value. I met with M, ostensibly for brainstorming but instead we mapped out a problem definition for his project.

Home, dinner, crossword, Elementary, snack, sleep.
