Yesterday I sewed the front yoke seam on the navy daisy shirt and laid out the same seam on the burgundy floral. I finished Storm and Fury, which was disappointing. It’s as if the author neglected to read the first half of the book — a large number of relevant threads and arguments were completely ignored. I was surprised, since the skill with which information was hidden from and revealed to the reader had prepared me to expect better. Grn.

At work I made some progress with batch loading from the database, but am now to the point of having to subvert the Django backend. Not my favorite. I met with a rising masters student who may be joining our group this fall, and gave a somewhat scattered intro to NELL, Theo, and LIA. I went to a meeting with F and M to catch up on what I’d missed and prepare for F’s absence later this week. We’re starting to think negative examples may be necessary, but we have no way to generate them since our positive examples are all synthesized by editing working proof trees, and it’s difficult to see how the math would even work out for the losses.

P brought the car to campus for a coffee, and we hit geagle on the way home for more nut/seed bar supplies. Dinner, crossword, Gentleman Jack (now aka “Regency Lesbians” and highly enjoyable), snack, sleep.
