Dreamt of a secret colony of Denmark

Yesterday I did the laundry and hung it out on the line. I took the shirt
prototype apart and transferred markings to tissue. The back is skewed,
which I’m pretty sure is because I fudged a symmetrical yoke pattern. I put
the asymmetry back into the yoke and transferred the resulting shifts to
the back pattern, and lo, the back is now straight. I moved the bust dart
to make it point at the apex, which will have to be tested to verify. It’s
in the armhole, which makes the grain lie straight at the yoke and (ish) at
the side seam, but the armhole curve is a bit abrupt and it makes the
seamline under the dart pretty goofy. We’ll see.

Lunch, then I planted seeds in the garden: tromboncino squash, good egg
godiva naked-seeded pumpkin, dill, parsley, purple carrots, chantenay
carrots, kuroda carrots, sicilian giant radishes, champion radishes, bak
choy, Armenian long cucumbers, zagross cucumbers, dragontongue bush beans,
contender bush beans, calima bush beans, and Hopi black dye sunflowers.
Sprinkled a big bowl of compost over everything. I drug the hose down and
watered the seeds in thoroughly, then made sure the reservoirs in the
self-watering planters were filled, then watered in the seed beds again.
Pruned back the arugula, and offered a small mountain of it to my
therapist, who accepted eagerly. Meanwhile, P was possessed by a cleaning
spirit and reorganized the mugs and dish cabinets, moved all the unused
stuff to a high shelf in the butlers pantry, and reclaimed the kitchen
table. 💕

Shower, snack, pulled the wash in while P rolled out and cut fresh pasta,
dinner, crossword, sleep.
