Yesterday I pinned and felled most of the inseam. Civil... has made a
choice that is simultaneously post-gender (because why shouldn’t there be
people who don’t really have a preference and thus may choose whatever
presentation is convenient in a binary society) and transphobic (because
implying that people only “change” genders to gain privileges and game the
system is REALLY BAD NO DON’T). Not impressed.
At work I started writing the thing to get the logical form for each of the
generated sentences, and break it down to assign nodes of the resulting
tree to spans of the sentence. It is not quite the same as the derivation
that automatically falls out of SEMPRE, and so far I am proud of the
results. Word came from IT that the anchor server is up and running
complete with RAID array, so I can now work on restoring the ldap service,
get the other machines back online, and fix an nfs issue on one of the
spokes so that students can get some work done while the big data transfer
is grinding along. P had the car on campus, and managed to find a wild A
visiting from sf, so I got to see her real quick before she had her next
meeting and P and I went to geagle. Sunflower seeds, demerera, almond
butter, tortilla chips, gf animal crackers, and frozen peas, green beans,
and squash. I totally forgot about blueberries. Nuts.
Home, dinner, crossword, Flash.
