And stayed up too late

Yesterday I attached the waistband, and everything lined up properly! So I
sewed it on, only to find that I’d designed the button holes to be on the
back layer instead of the front layer. I’m going to put them in front
anyway and just eat the weird proportions, but I still need to decide
whether to take apart that section of the waistband to reinforce where the
button holes will actually be.

Had lunch with D and S, and heard about S’s trip to Denver. Tested a new
grammar for check-if expressions that F has been working on, and started
yak shaving for setting up field comparison tests to be compatible with
conditional branching. Wrote an agenda for today’s meeting, but it boiled
down to just three items, so I didn’t bother sending it out.

Once home I made rice (plain white jasmine; forgot to put rice berry on the
grocery list), watered the garden, picked coreopsis and calendula, and a
big pile of arugula to bring in to work.
