We got some lovely rain too
Jul. 9th, 2017 10:02 amYesterday I sorted through a big box of 50 vintage & antique sewing
patterns I bought on eBay! About half of them were compelling; the rest
will go back out for auction along with some of the less interesting
patterns that came in the sewing cabinet.
I picked out a simple tunic pattern to start with, ironed it and picked
through the previously-cut pieces to find the view and size I wanted,
traced off the major pieces and made all my length and width adjustments.
The back shoulder is still problematic but I think I have something that
might work, so I'll be cutting a muslin to test it out.
Food was pretty okay! As much as I love visiting family I'm glad to be back
in my own house with familiar utensils and ingredients. I didn't realize
how much background anxiety I was getting from not knowing how long various
foods had been hanging around. When it comes to pantry staples, that's a
pretty silly thing to be worried about, but anxietybrain isn't exactly
logical to begin with.
