Writing checklists

Yesterday was a bit of a mess as we figured out who was supposed to be responsible for delivering all the materials to marketing, but we eventually got everything organized and ultimately deployed v1.2 to the live site by end of day. Very pleased!!

I met with Indicators; we decided on an approach to pursuing the restricted data server that will sidestep most of the gnarly the permissions issues. I met with T and walked him through the first half of the pipeline for the F sensors, then breezed through the rest (ugh we didn’t get to cover smoothing; wellp). Spent the rest of the afternoon monitoring the release in various ways, finishing some code for an entirely unrelated project that will makes it easier to monitor AWS usage for N’s lab, and fixing a bug in the auto aggregations delivery that’s supposed to send a nice report to my email every morning.

Did better with food! Switched from cumin to turmeric at dinner and that helped. Anxietybrain is a jerk but is easily fooled. Dinner, P did the trash, crossword (yessssss trick), then instead of DS9 got sidetracked thinking about the engineering help we so desperately need and who I might know who’d have students still available this late in the internship cycle and! Flurry of activity later, we have an in with some masters students and maybe a hackathon or two and I wrote an ad and P helped me drop any egregious tone malfunctions and now I (we; I convinced A already) just have to get R to approve it. He had his heart set on PhD students but 1, I can’t think it’ll be easy convincing stats students to stay in the engineering pool instead of jumping over to forecasting, and 2, they all (?) have some sort of summer requirement they’d be dropping to work on this instead.

So, that, then snack and sleep. Epic dreams of reunions held confusingly back at 16411, limeade, enforcing social boundaries, late nights, early bedtimes, forgetting appointments, windows in doors.
