Yesterday for work I wrote up a plan for the week and sent it out, wrote up a call for testers for Rr to circulate around the HCII, made a new prototype for the state displays showing regional pandemic data from 2009, and prototyped showing per-location COVID-19 case data. I spent the rest of the afternoon on a draft converting the data import scheme from PHP-MySQL to use the JavaScript epidata API. Rt emailed late to give me a heads up about putting me on the team (which is currently only one person) handling symptom surveys with Facebook and other social sites, and make sure I had human subjects research training for the IRB, which I do.

After work I did a turn around the garden with P, and we cooed over the progress of all the various edible perennials. The bing is flowering, so the sour cherry had better hurry up.

I started reading All Systems Red, the first book in the murderbot diaries series by Martha Wells. While there is violence, it’s way less than I expected, and way more Ancillary.
