Yesterday I cleaned all the old fleeces out of the spinning room, and one
of them was definitely the source of the moth problem. Gross. I did pick
through the big bag of angora and salvage the good stuff, which I then
sterilized in the oven to kill any eggs I missed. Vacuumed up all the
remaining visible moths, and will continue to do that for the next week or
so to finish them off. If that doesn't work I can look into fumigating
everything with naphtha (we'll use the attic) or in theory there's a
parasitic wasp treatment you can do. When I've looked for it in the past I
haven't found anyone who ships to the US but it's been a while so perhaps
there are more options now.

I also cleared the alarming pile of junk off the dining room table,
breaking down boxes and flattening packing paper for use as weed barrier in
the garden, and making up folders for the remaining tax paperwork and other
receipts in the new filing cabinet.

I knit a bunch, and had P measure me to figure out where I should stop the
yoke ribbing and switch to stockinette. I flubbed the transition the first
time (forgot to switch to the larger needles) but I'd been smart and put in
a lifeline so ripping back was easy.

I'm listening to Closed and Common Orbit, the sequel to The Long Way to a
Small Angry Planet and while the first one was great the second is even
better. Highly recommend if you like sentient AIs.
