They just stand there

Yesterday I attempted to fix a problem where one of the data uploading routines takes forty minutes even when no files are in the drop directory, but ran into a problem with key length in an unrelated new database. None of the other devs could replicate the error though, so not sure what to do about that. Spent the afternoon in back to back meetings, and I delivered my OKR December grades and January/Q1 goals to leads, to general approval.

Dinner, crossword, SG1 (ugh the sui episode), snack, sleep. Bizarre dreams of an alternate humanoid species that gestated for two weeks and gave birth to tiny cocoons, something about recycling, and honey powder.

In theory this week I was supposed to be building a slide deck for the women in STEAM talk I’m giving on Sunday but that’s just going to have to wait for Saturday. Forgot how few brain cells I have left after work.

Making Money continues excellent. Spike is a favorite, even though my headcanon severely mismatches the voice the reader uses for her.
