Cold

Yesterday I went to the viz meeting and met with S and B about project management process changes and supporting software. I worked with B to draw up a draft of an objectives and key results proposal for the month of November, worked with L on the draft of the business innovation office proposal, and monitored work on the database fix for JHU. We’ll be deploying that to production later this morning after a long meandering debug process; apparently something with the temporary tables was stochastically dropping rows and not logging any error messages. Grn. I went to the high school robotics all hands meeting to see the covidcast girls present their work, and was delighted at the smoothness with which that meeting is run. Everything wrapped up bang on schedule.

I’d had a heavy snack during the robotics meeting so just sat with P for company over his dinner, then crossword. I started watching Russian Doll, which is way funnier and less harrowing than I’d expected. Snack and sleep, dreamt of campus reopening and tryouts for an arts program and forgetting my mask.

There is a ball in a box, but so far every time it hits the sides it’s a happy memory, so I’ll take it.
