Yesterday I washed the canvas for the piping, with a few towels to keep the washer from walking away, and threw everything in the dryer. I took the cover off one of the chair back cushions and drew out all the geometry with measurements— they are not in fact rectangles or even trapezoids but a more complex double-wedge with a curved top. It does make for fewer pieces though, and I think I have it sorted.

At work I started implementing the SPARQL paper, mostly a matter of rereading sections repeatedly until they sunk in enough to write code, then rereading again once the code made something else make either more sense or less sense. They left a bunch of stuff out, which is frustrating— where does the handling for the selector go? How do you decide whether an expression goes in the JOIN ON clause or the WHERE clause? How do you prune unused relvars? There’s apparently a scala implementation somewhere but no link. Grn.

Liars Oath continues; it is more enjoyable when the POV is away from the liar in question.

C is in town for the weekend! Met up with them after work in the secret corridor on WeH 1 where P’s office is, and we went to Pino’s for dinner to catch up. I have some pointers to chase on conversational interfaces. Walked through Mellon Park after to put them closer to their next destination, then P and I went home for crossword and Elementary and snack and sleep.
