Daily practice
Sep. 24th, 2019 07:47 amYesterday I finished mending the dish towel and also mended a pulled seam in a fitted sheet. I went in to campus for work, finished going over the readme documentation, fixed a thing in the knowledge base display in the web console, uncovered a mess in bitbucket that’s putting a user limit on us inappropriately, and hammered on theo database inconsistency issues. Cache invalidation, blerg.
I started reading Liar’s Oath by Elizabeth Moon, the next book in the Paskennarion series. It’s okay so far.
Home, then A is in town but wasn’t going to be free until late, so I sat with P while they solidified plans, and we bumped up YouTube time to while my dinner was cooking. P went to meet her, I finished eating, and watched Elementary. Season 3 seems to be when the writers started running out of ideas; we’ve had a main character in mortal peril, a direct copy of a story from the books, and a reversion of another main character to a nearly-direct copy from the books. I guess it couldn’t last.
Snack, P got home, I prepped ingredients for nut and seed bars, sleep. Dreamt I was an impostor in a musical, and the person I was replacing was (unbeknownst to me) supposed to sit in the orchestra pit for the last scene and play jazz flute. Whoops.
