Dreamt of forgetting where I’m supposed to be

Yesterday I ironed the black and white plaid.

I’m nearly finished with Mirror Dance, which is wrapping up superbly. TW
for torture, though the character’s dissociation helped keep the body
horror from getting too bad for me.

At work I fixed some bugs in how references get deserialized, and started a
test case for teaching. I know I’ve seen something around the internets in
how to change the display name of a python class, but couldn’t find it, so
wrote up the problem for stack overflow. Made some progress on the paper,
revising how short responses are handled. Next is how a sequence of blocks
qualifies as a program.

T bailed on the lab meeting so we just had two for Why Are You Doing This.
It was good, though the first one focused way too much on the Why and not
enough on the This, and it took us a whole forty minutes to untangle what
he was actually doing before the Why made any sense at all. B also
presented, and I grilled him a bit too hard about a minor detail that only
matters for online systems. Oops. F got us back on track.

Home, dinner, QES3. Episode 4 didn’t bug me as much fatphobiawise as it did
one of the folks I follow on Twitter, with the exception of (1) “who is
feeding her” what the ACTUAL FUCK, (2) keto is... the opposite of fatless
cooking, what are you even doing, and (3) the mirror; yeah it would
absolutely be better to have him recast “fat” as a descriptor and not a
slur, though I can maybe see if he was sufficiently hung up on it being
definition-negative choosing to focus elsewhere. They did so well with the
Jones sisters, I did expect better. Somebody needs to slap Antoni with an
old fish.
