Dreamt of a magic cafeteria

Yesterday I started converting the database to find items by unique ID
instead of by name, so that we can in the future store more than one Dave
(say). I met with D for feedback on the type system proposal, and he had
some good notes. At text group meeting this week we had A give a practice
version of his thesis proposal talk, which was fraught with confusion. I
had to leave early to make the shuttle but I expect the rest of the group
left him in good shape for revisions.

Dinner, trash, crossword.

I accidentally put a hold on an ebook instead of an audiobook for Arabella
of Mars, but I decided to try it out on my phone anyway. It’s a bit
juvenile, but engaging all the same. I’ve not really been spending as much
time with my hands and eyes busy lately anyway, so a visual read is not as
disruptive as it might have been.
