Impressive lightning after dinner

Yesterday I finished assembling the waistband, and sewed most of the slot
seam pockets before making a pressing error I’ll have to rip out today. I
did a bunch of experiments with the voice interface at work, and onboarded
our new postdoc.

[food] I’ve been riffing on an Ethiopian dish at dinner which is really
good: turmeric-braised cabbage and carrots. I add rice, edamame, and peas
to make it a one-pot meal, and finish with a tarka of fried mustard seeds,
cumin seeds, and a couple of curry leaves. Highly recommend. Our curry
plant looks like it’s fruiting, so if any of the seeds are viable I may
have baby plants available later this year.
