infryq: Kitchen scene at dawn, post-processed to appear as if painted (Default)
Yesterday I finished attaching the lining and tried it on, with unfortunate
results. There’s an extra half inch at the top of each side seam, and some
weird bubbling at the drop waist center back. I think the issue is I forgot
that princess seams means three times as many opportunities to mess up the
seam allowances. Next time, mark seam lines maybe? Anyway the skirt hangs
beautifully with the full lining; it was an old sheet, probably sateen.
I’ll have to see if my other sateen has the same properties (will not hold
a crease, frays like mad) or if something else is in play there.
