Yesterday I ironed linen and cut out all the pattern pieces, picked out a
fun print for the pocket bags, stay-stitched all the inside curves and
critical bias seams, and interfaced the pocket edges. Very productive.
I finished two rounds on the chrysanthemum; they’re getting smaller and
faster all the time.
I made some great soup for lunch but forgot about the leftovers so they sat
out all afternoon :(
I found a fun channel on YouTube called Prior Attire; they’re a U.K.
company that makes period clothing from the Middle Ages up through
Edwardian. It’s made me realize the relationship between “pair of bodies”
-> “bodiced” -> “bodice” which is quite fascinating.
The Watchmaker on Filigree Street took a bizarre, frenzied turn. The writer
skimped on setup for that I think, unless she intends to put Grace in
bedlam or something.
I dreamed Chrisamaphone won a Hugo for a generated novel, which was pretty
awesome.
