Yesterday I installed a buttonhole in the lining that will pass the waist
stay through, and started adding the final stay attachment stitches at the
darts ad side seams. Since I removed the front waist darts, I’m using the
waist seam allowances at the side front seams for the skirt instead.
I worked another quarter of a round of embroidery on the chrysanthemum, and
planned out the order of threads. I’ll have a couple of blend rounds in
between a few of the more abrupt value changes.
I started listening to Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler, but stalled
out on the body horror. I’ll have to return to it once I get my meds
adjusted, or in the spring.
Instead, I’m listening to The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker. Not
without its own gross bits, but they’re far easier to push away and hold at
a distance.
