Still irritated
Sep. 25th, 2017 10:32 amYesterday I chopped a bunch of length off the top of my leggings, and
tested out a wide foldover waistband. I either need more width at the hip
or a stretchier fabric. Plus when taking close-up photos I discovered some
weird folds at the crotch. I probably need to reshape the crotch curve,
though it's not clear whether it should be deeper or shallower. I've put a
post in the fb group. I am unexpectedly sensitive about asking for help
with this -- the group has gotten really big really fast, and it's clear
it's starting to suffer from the usual internet disease of the least
helpful people being the first to respond. I felt myself getting defensive
so I've put it away until later, when hopefully some of the more
experienced folks will have a chance to see it.
We went to the market and got beans, plums, Chinese eggplant, a tiny melon,
and two kinds of apples. I steamed and froze the beans, and tallied up all
of what I've frozen so far. It's more than I thought but there's still a
ways to go to match what I went through last winter.
Picked some peppers, meal spinach, and beans from the garden, and watered
it thoroughly after dinner (6 gallons per 3x8' bed). Didn't get around to
clearing the flowers out of the front walk, as it got dark fast.
