Yesterday I sewed the first side of strap number two to my bag. The
stitches will show on this one along the edge of the outside pocket, but so
long as I do it the same on both sides it should be fine.

Finished listening to "The Half-Resurrection Blues," read by the author.
The protag is latino and possibly also black, which I'm working on reading
more of, but while the author speaks Spanish well it's clear his French is
pretty crap. He wrote a Haitian into some crucial bits of the climax and
every time she says anything I about lost it -- he makes her sound like the
french chef in The Little Mermaid. He's a good poet but I may not continue
with the series.
