Nov. 9th, 2012 03:46 pmOh and I almost forgot! P and I went to Fukuda in Bloomfield last night for dinner. It was on the whole excellent, with the following exceptions:
P had the ramen (get the ramen, they're very very good at ramen) and I had a mystery one of the two sushi combinations.
Definitely a splurge place, and about 15% more expensive than I would have guessed, but that could easily go into the quality of the fish (oh man the fish was good).
- I like a little less horseradish in my nigiri (P thought they were fine)
- Drinking tea out of wooden cups... leaves a weird aftertaste. Also, bag tea, and they don't automatically bring you something to put your teabag on. Alas.
- The waitress either took my order wrong or overcharged us; it's not clear. It was my birthday week though, and it was totally delicious, so I called it fine.
