Hip flexors

Yesterday we went to the farmers market and got apples, zucchini, carrots, onions, a turnip, garlic, pasta, a sesame cookie, and mushrooms. We went to geagle and got sunflower seeds, pepitas, bread, coconut, and paper plates. I made a rather nice lentil, apple, and turnip soup for lunch. Crossword, then I started laundry and filled the dehydrator with apples. I finished the french knot flowers on the embroidery sampler, tried a square chain, didn’t like it, ripped it out, and replaced with a double chain stitch instead. Dinner, folded the laundry, Elementary, snack, sleep. Hazy dreams of lab work.

Just change up the spices again

Yesterday I finished laying out and cutting the paper pattern for the chair seat cushions. Kings of the North is finding its stride. We went to the farmers market and got apples, zucchini, a seeded rye loaf and a rye ginger cookie, pasta, peppers, garlic, carrots, parsley, and a turnip. We went to Allegro and got havarti and an apple coffee cake. I looked at things in the art store while P got a pumpernickel bagel with lox at Pigeon, then home. I cleaned out my vegetable drawer in the fridge, then made lunch. Put the laundry in. Crossword. Made edits to the authors response F compiled from our notes Friday. Cleaned all the dehydrator trays, then filled the dehydrator with apples: the remaining crimson crisp and nittany from last week, and all but two of the sun crisp from this week. The house smells amazing. Flipped the laundry, dinner, Elementary, and P did the last laundry flip. We have entered winter layering mode, which means two loads of wash most weeks. No snack, was feeling weird probably from snacking on raw apples. Sleep.

Colder

Yesterday I took measurements for the chair seats and started marking out a pattern. Oath of Fealty continues well; the author has gotten better at handling multiple plot lines simultaneously. TW sexual assault, child abuse, and some brief body horror.

At work I ground through an expository section on the parts of adding a simple sensor/effector, and went to a meeting with T, F, and B outlining his possible research directions. I still need to schedule a big meeting of my own for going over the base grammar but was overcome with a wave of irrational feelings of incompetence. Seasonal anxiety gonna anx.

P had the car on campus, so we went to geagle on the way home and got nuts, sunflower seeds, almond butter, avocado oil, chips, mozzarella, butter, and cinnamon raisin bread. Home, I processed most of this week’s apples into the dehydrator, dinner, crossword, Elementary, snack, sleep. Dreamt of learning to ride a bike in a shallow river, bad police, and Christmas mornings.

All students, faculstaff, and alumni

Yesterday I packed the dried snow-crisp apples into a jar. I had an early meeting on campus so caught the 10:15 shuttle with P. Teleconference with JPM went fine; I still have some follow ups to do in the google doc but otherwise pleased. Went to Resnik for lunch with qualified success; there was surprise garlic in the potatoes but aside from a slightly raised anxiety floor I did okay the rest of the day. Finished going through a paper from 2008 study of administrative assistants, and started in on the LIA walkthrough. I’m marking minor bugs as I go, and fixing more major ones.

Divided Allegiance continues well, though I am super judging a religious order that would coerce people to join through dishonest behavior.

Home, dinner, crossword, Elementary, then I read updates on the Open Letter news. I am livid. CN:transphobia follows.( Read more... )

Dreams unmemorable

Yesterday I was a bit of a mess since my period is late and whenever that happens the PMS just keeps ramping up until it arrives. We went to the farmers market and got apples, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, parsley, basil, beans, mushrooms, and pasta. We went to geagle and got more mushrooms, almond milk, dairy, soup, canned tomatoes, chips, and Cheerios. Home, lunch, crossword, then I spent the rest of the afternoon filling the dehydrator with apples: snow sweet, empire, and rubinette. Watched some Elementary, dinner, more Elementary, snack, sleep.

at least we’re getting rain

Irritable af. Yesterday I started laying out and tracing off pattern pieces for the chair back. We went to the farmers market and got apples, zucchini, potatoes, carrots, dandelion greens, orange peppers, a tomato, basil, green beans, a sesame seed cookie, and fresh pasta. Lunch, some fragility, laundry, took the tansy out of the dehydrator from months ago, stripped it and bagged it up, washed all the trays, put in the lemon chiles. That was a lot of holding my arms up in front of me for one day, so I spent the rest of it watching Elementary. Dinner, brought in the still-slightly-damp laundry, folded what was sufficiently dry and threw the rest in the dryer. Crossword, Elementary, snack, sleep. Weird dreams about rats escaping live traps. Liars Oath is wrapping up with extreme deus ex machina, barely helped by the fact that we know about them already from the prologue.
